    Val Thorens Nightlife

Much like the dining scene, the Val Thorens nightlife offers quite a lot, despite its elevated locale. The après-ski scene is surprisingly lively, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes. La Folie Douce (also renowned in Val D’Isere) located at the top of the Plein Sud chairlift, offers the best afternoon dance party, and it typically gets going as early as noon. Party-goers will delight in the DJs and live bands that play on the patio. Don’t miss the toffee vodka. After a couple it’s difficult to abstain from dancing on tables in your ski boots.

When it’s time to wobbly make your way back down to the base village, point yourself towards the loudest, rowdiest bar. You’ll probably find yourself heading to the Downunder bar or The Saloon. For a mellower après-ski scene stop in at Rhum Box Café for quiet cocktail or glass of wine. If you’re still standing around 11 p.m., the Malaysia bar, which has been a popular spot for more than 25 years, is where you’ll find some world-class international DJs and a lively dance floor.
