We stayed in the Golden Bend Condos which is nothing spectacular, but plenty to complain about. First, there was a snow storms and management did not shovel the walkways to the condos. You are stuck with carrying your gear and luggage in a foot of snow down and up snow and ice covered stairs.....Now you know why they have those late nite lawyer commercials. Additionally, the bathrooms did not have heat or air vent going inside, so you depend on a 1970 built-in heater which did not work. We called the front desk and was told - yeah, they knew some heaters did not work and they were going to update the bathrooms this summer. The temperature is close to zero and the bathrooms are freezing and the attitude of management is we will get around to it. After the two above quips the others are not that bad, however it adds to the overall quality of lodge management. There were no sheets (just blankets), for the bunkbed in the room upstairs. The kitchen did not have clean wash towels and sponges. The televisions seems to have a mind of there own on when they will start working properly - remember keep trying and it will eventually turn on to a decent channel line up. Lastly, if you are staying in the lodge, expect to drive into Truckee if you want to eat anything of variety - no delivery service
