If high-quality modern American-style food, in a comfy, rustic setting at a reasonable price sounds like a meal you’ve been waiting for Mammoth’s new restaurant CJ’s Grill will satisfy. CJ’s has a notable California wine list, and beer lovers will be happy with the offerings. Vegans, vegetarians and anyone with food sensitivities need not fret on a Mammoth ski vacation, especially at CJ’s. The kitchen is happy to prepare special orders.

After a long, and satisfying day on the slopes nothing compares with a large plate of homemade pasta. If this sounds like your ideal post-skiing meal, a reservation at Campo is a must. Another new Mammoth restaurant, Campo was named one of Esquire Magazine’s 2012 ‘Best New Restaurants in America.’ Campo stands out thanks to Chef Mark Estee’s simple, organic, seasonal recipes, including homemade pizzas, handmade pastas and handcrafted salami. Campo is conveniently located in the main base village, so you won’t have to worry about getting around after one two many of their handcrafted beers or signature cocktails.

If you’re tastes and dining preferences trend towards upscale, an evening or two at the elegant Chart House restaurant is in order. Their contemporary American menu features everything from prime rib to signature fish recipes, like their oh-so-popular Macadamia crusted mahi. Vino enthusiasts will be pleased with Chart House’s wine list, too.
